My Story
My own experience of becoming a Mama is what inspired me to start Nourish Me Mama. Having children wasn't easy for me; I faced my own fertility challenges, went through several IUI treatments, and experienced the joy of getting pregnant, only to have my first pregnancy end in miscarriage. It was a time filled with fear, heartbreak, and so many emotions.
When I became pregnant again after IUI, I was over the moon, but that joy was quickly accompanied by anxiety and the constant worry of doing everything "right." I spent countless hours researching what to eat, which supplements to take, and wondering if my baby was getting all the nutrients needed to grow healthy and strong. It was overwhelming!
After my son was born, I entered the postpartum phase. Thanks to the traditional Indian practices my amazing mother shared with me, I felt nourished and energised. This experience showed me the incredible power of whole foods and how essential proper nourishment is during this stage, not just for recovery but for regaining strength and energy to care for your baby and yourself.
From there starting solids with my little one brought its own challenges—again, with conflicting advice and opinions. I wanted to ensure he was getting all the nutrients he needed to grow, develop, and build a positive relationship with food. These experiences have shaped my journey and inspired me to help other mamas as they navigate their own motherhood paths.
My goal is to support and empower you during this transformative time, and to build a beautiful community for mamas like you. I’m here to show you how simple, practical changes with food can make a world of difference for both you and your baby!
